If you purchased Mail My Packet, your race bib and short sleeve technical race shirt were mailed to you last week. Only go to the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent with questions or if you did not receive your bib in the mail.
If you did not purchase Mail My Packet, we strongly encourage participants to pick up their bib & swag on Thursday. Receive 10% off any same day purchase when you present your bib at packet pickup at Fleet Feet Hartford on Thursday.
Thursday, May 30: 4:00 to 6:00 PM – Fleet Feet Hartford, 1003 Farmington Avenue West Hartford, CT 06107 (located in-store). Race Day: 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM – Registration & Bib Pick-up located on the stage at the bandshell, Simsbury Performing Arts Center, Simsbury, CT. Arrive early!
To speed up your pickup, download or print your own unique Check-in Pass before you get in line. Sign into your participant account to access your pass. The pass can be downloaded and saved in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or printed out. |
Your short sleeve technical shirt will be available for pick up at the T-Shirt tent before the event - you may only pick up the size selected/available in your race registration. Shirt sizes are limited and exchanges will be available after the event on a first come, first served basis.
Complimentary baggage check will be available for registered participants in the Pre/Post Race area. All checked bags must be picked up by 10:45 AM.

Pre/post race activities will take place at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center (PAC), 22 Iron Horse Blvd, Simsbury, CT 06070. All races will start and finish on the adjacent roadway, Iron Horse Boulevard. Directions
Parking is available all day in the municipal parking lots along Iron Horse Boulevard. Plan to arrive at least 75 minutes early – Iron Horse Boulevard will be shut to traffic at 6:45 AM. PLEASE NOTE: EACH RACE DISTANCE HAS ITS OWN SEPARATE START LINE AND START TIME
10K: 7:15 AM start The 10K will start on the east side of the median on Iron Horse Boulevard, near the intersection with Jim Gallagher Way and consist of one corral.
Half Marathon: 7:30 AM start The Half Marathon will start on the west side of the median on Iron Horse Boulevard, near the entrance to the Simsbury Performing Arts Center and adjacent to the finish line. It will then merge with the 5K race about ¼ mile in and both races will run together for roughly 2 miles.
Course limit is 3 hours for the Half Marathon. To finish within these time limits participants must maintain a pace of approximately 13:44 minutes per mile. Half Marathon runners must pass the checkpoint at the 8.2 mile mark within 1 hour and 55 minutes. Runners over this time will be directed to withdraw or run unsupported.
PACE TEAMS: A free service available to all half marathon participants, the Fleet Feet Pace Teams are available for 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00 goal finish times. Pace Leaders will move into the starting area at 7:25 AM. They will line up according to pace on the right side (facing the start) of the start corral. They will be wearing bright blue PACE shirts and be holding their pace group sign. DETAILS
ATHLETE TRACKING: Half Marathon participants can get real-time athlete updates. Athletes or spectators can follow along and receive real-time updates with course time and pace from the start, 8.2 mile split and at the finish line. Sign up HERE.
5K: 7:30 AM start The 5K will start on the east side of the median on Iron Horse Boulevard, near the intersection with Wilcox Street, and consist of one corral. It will merge with the half marathon race about ¼ mile in and both races will run together for roughly 2 miles.
Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel. Markings & Amenities:
- Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
- All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
- Clocks at finish line and along the course
- 5K Hydration (water only): Pre/Post Race & Mile 1.7
- Half Marathon & 10K Hydration (water & Nuun Sport): Pre/Post Race & every 1 to 2 miles along the course (only water served at the first Fluid Station)
- GU Energy Gel (Mile 8.5)
- Medical personnel on site
- Event alert system notifications in the pre-race area and at the water station

8:30 AM: 5K and 10K Award Ceremony 9:00 AM: Beer Tent Opens 9:45 AM: Half Marathon Award Ceremony Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile, ½ mile or a one mile race. All kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal and custom t-shirt or kids cape. All HMF FitKids Runs will start and finish on the soccer fields inside the Simsbury Performing Arts Center.
