Sport has the power to change the world. Through the support from Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), athletes with physical disabilities cannot only be a part of sport but grow to become the top of the leaderboard - some have even come to be at the top of the world's largest stage.

CAF is proud to announce that 2023 is the largest grant distribution ever!  This year, we awarded 3,996 individual grants totaling $7 million representing 80+ sports, 50 states + Puerto Rico, and 39 countries to athletes with permanent disabilities so they can pursue the sports they love.

Not only does CAF support dreams, CAF empowers athletes to develop the next generation. Together as a community, we are all stronger through sport.

Semper Fi & America's Fund is honored to be a charity partner with the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. The Fund provides urgently needed resources and support for combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.A. Armed Forces and their families. No service member will be forgotten on their road to recovery. Community Athletes are a critical part of The Fund's support system - they take the initiative to fundraise and compete in athletic events while spreading awareness of The Fund's mission to all those they encounter. Our mission at The Stone Clinic is to help athletes play forever. However, many active people carrying injuries are medically advised to "Stop your activities, take painkillers, and wait until you need an artificial joint replacement.” We believe this advice is outdated and unacceptable.

In his orthopaedic and sports medicine practice, Kevin R. Stone, MD and his team have spent 30 years pioneering and refining minimally invasive, biologic treatments to achieve our goal of keeping athletes active for their entire lives. HERE, especially for Escape for Alcatraz participants, is our guidance on how triathletes can maintain their joints to last for a lifetime of activity.
