Plan to arrive at least 75 minutes prior to your race start – Iron Horse Boulevard will be shut to traffic at 6:45 AM. After 6:45 AM, access to the parking lots must be made from Rte. 10.

Saturday, June 7 (Race Day): 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM – Simsbury Performing Arts Center, Simsbury, CT.

To speed up your bib pick-up experience, log in to your haku participant account and download or print your own unique Check-in Pass before you get in line. The pass can be downloaded and saved in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or printed out. 
Your short sleeve technical shirt will be available for pick up at the T-shirt tent before the event - you may only pick up the size selected in your race registration. Shirt sizes are limited and exchanges will be available after the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

BAGGAGE CHECK:
6:00 AM: Complimentary baggage check will be available for registered participants in the Pre/Post Race area (bags must be picked up by 10:30 AM).

Pre/post race activities will take place at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Simsbury, Connecticut. All races will start and finish on the adjacent roadway, Iron Horse Boulevard.

Free parking is available all day in the municipal parking lots between Route 10 (Hopmeadow Road) and Iron Horse Boulevard.

Plan to arrive at least 75 minutes prior to your race start to allow enough time to park, pick up your bib and race shirt (if needed) and walk to the race start. Iron Horse Boulevard will be shut to traffic at 6:45 AM. After 6:45 AM, access to the parking lots must be made from Rte. 10. Do not park at private businesses. DETAILS

The Half Marathon will start on the west side of the median on Iron Horse Boulevard, near the entrance to the Simsbury Performing Arts Center and adjacent to the finish line. It will then merge with the 5K race about ¼ mile in and both races will run together for roughly 2 miles. The race start will consist of one corral with “Self Seed” pace per mile signs to assist with participant spacing.

Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel.

Course Limit: 3 hours for the Half Marathon. To finish within these time limits you must maintain a pace of approximately 13:44 minutes per mile. Half Marathon runners must pass the checkpoint at the 8.2 mile mark within 1 hour and 55 minutes. Runners over this time will be directed to withdraw or run unsupported.

Half Marathon Athlete Tracking: Athletes or spectators can follow along and receive real-time updates with course time and pace from the start, 8.2 mile split and at the finish line. SIGN UP

Gait Assessment: This optional add-on experience will capture your natural movement in real time during your half marathon - no sensors or suits required. Join an informational session with the sports medicine experts from the UConn Institute for Sports Medicine and receive a customized report with insights tailored to help you run smarter, faster and injury-free. 7:45 AM – 10:45 AM: Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center - Registered participants can enjoy post-race food featuring Bear’s Smokehouse, and grab & go snacks featuring Uncle Crumbles and LesserEvil

9:00 AM: Beer Tent Opens - Ice cold craft beer from our friends at New England Brewing (one free beer to all finishers 21+ with ID)

9:45 AM: Half Marathon Award Ceremony

Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. All times are based on NET time (timing mats located at the start and finish). Final results will be posted later in the day. RESULTS
Please bring nonperishable food donations to the HMF Can tent and meet special guest Marc David, author of The Addicted Runner whose running streak spans a daily run for the past 40 years! Half of all sales of the book ($10) will be donated to the Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program at Hartford Public High School. Donors are entered to win a free entry to the Charity 5K at the Eversource Hartford Marathon on October 11, 2025.

Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile, ½ mile or 1 mile races, all kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a custom designed cotton t-shirt.

All kids races start and finish on the soccer fields inside the Simsbury Performing Arts Center.
