Pick-up your bib at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AMThe tent is located at Union Green in Middletown. 

To speed up your bib pick-up experience, log in to your haku participant account to access your unique Check-in Pass before you get in line, download and save in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or print out. 

If you purchased Mail My Packet, your bib and event shirt was mailed to you. Only go to the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent if you did not receive your bib or if you have questions.
Your event shirt will be available for pick up at the Swag tent before the event. Size exchanges will be available after the finish in the Results tent. Size exchanges are subject to availability.
Please note: No baggage check available on race day.

Pre/post race activities, as well as the race finish will take place in and around Union Green, located at the southern end of Main Street – the start line is located about 3 blocks west on High Street, adjacent to Wesleyan University.

Free and paid parking is available near Union Green. No Race Parking on Main Street between Union and Williams Street and at Metro Square Shopping Center. Violators may be towed. Directions & Parking Details
Please help give back - donate nonperishable food in the HMF Can tent to benefit The Amazing Grace Food Pantry, which supports more than 1,000 low-income local households each month. HMF Can is supported by Stop & Shop to help alleviate food insecurity in communities. Everyone who donates will be entered into a raffle for a free entry to the Charity 5K at the Eversource Hartford Marathon.

The charity beneficiary of this event is HMF's Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program. Consider making a donation during registration or online.

The 10K and 5K courses start together on High Street adjacent to Wesleyan University and will consist of one corral with “Self Seed” pace per mile signs to assist with participant spacing.

10K COURSE MAP: The 10K follows a counterclockwise loop around campus. This two loop course has rolling hills before a fast downhill finish on Old Church Street.

10K Course Limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes. To finish within these time limits you must maintain a pace of approximately 14:30 minutes per mile. 10K runners must pass the checkpoint at the 2.6 mile mark within 40 minutes. Runners over this time will be directed to finish the 5K course.

5K COURSE MAP: The 5K loops around campus before a fast downhill to the finish on Old Church Street. 

Walkers welcome! 5K Course Limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes. To finish within these time limits you must maintain a pace of approximately 29 minutes per mile.

Markings & Amenities: 

  • Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
  • All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
  • Clocks at finish line and along the course
  • Hydration (Water and UCAN Hydrate)
    • Pre/Post Race / Mile 1.5 / Mile 4.6 (10K only)
  • Medical personnel on site
  • Event alert system notifications in the pre-race area and at the water station

Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel. Respect the roads and each other, and please do not litter in the gracious community hosting us. 

 
POST RACE PARTY 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM: 
Registered participants can enjoy a slice of Mondo Pizza and Grab & Go snacks featuring Uncle Crumbles granola and Lesser EvilOne free beer per participant for 21+ years of age with proper ID courtesy of Eli Cannon’s Tap Room.

AWARD CEREMONY 12:30 PM
Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. All times are based on NET time (timing mats located at the start and finish). Final results will be posted later in the day. RESULTS
 
Motivate the running season with a three-race goal that starts with your 10K in Middletown, then run the Burlington to Collinsville Classic 10K on May 4 and 
UConn Health 10K in Simsbury on June 7.
Give yourself a great reason to keep up the effort with custom swag at each race and an extra commemorative medal to show for the completion of the Spring 10K Challenge
 
Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile or ½ mile races, all kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal and custom t-shirt.

All HMF FitKids Runs will start and finish at the 5K/10K finish line on Old Church Street.
