CT RACE IN THE PARK
Friday, May 10 (Day Before RACE): 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Walnut Hill Park
Saturday, May 11 (RACE Day): 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM, Walnut Hill Park

  • Pick up your race bib at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. All participants must show a Photo ID to pick up their packets (parent/guardian of minors must show ID).
  • If you have been contacted by your Team Captain about a group packet pickup for your team, please follow the instructions you were given. 
  • If you ordered Mail My Packet, your race packet was sent to you. If you have not received it by race day, visit the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent for a replacement bib. 
  • If you pre-ordered merchandise or are interested in purchasing merchandise just head to the Merchandise Tent after you pick up your bib! 
  • Category changes must be handled by a Registration Manager at packet pickup.
  • Online and in-person registration remains open until 30 minutes before each specific event starts.
The first 740 registrants for the 5K Run or 4K/1 Mile Walk will receive a baseball hat. All survivors will receive a special survivor shirt.
Pre/post race activities, as well as race start & finish will take place in and around Walnut Hill Park in New Britain.
  • Courthouse (Linda Blogoslawski) Parking Garage - Liberty Square, New Britain, CT.
  • John N. Badolato Parking Garage - 25 Washington Street, New Britain, CT.
SHUTTLE BUS TRANSPORTATION:
Shuttle bus transportation is provided compliments of First Student from the above mentioned parking garages to Walnut Hill Park will be available on race day for all registered participants. The shuttle bus transportation will drop off and pick up participants adjacent to the Walnut Hill Park Bandshell, on Grand Street.

• 6:30 AM: Shuttle services begins
• 1:00 PM: Shuttle services ends

Note: Carpooling encouraged. Use the garages above, parking at and around Walnut Hill Park is very limited. 
5K: The 5K Run will start and finish on the west side of Walnut Hill Park under the finish truss. 5K COURSE MAP

Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel. Markings & Amenities: 

  • Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
  • All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
  • Clocks at finish line and along the course
  • Hydration - Pre/Post Race & Mile 1.5
  • Medical personnel on site
  • Event alert system notifications in the pre-race area and at the water station

4K & 1 MILE WALKS: The 4K & 1 Mile Walks will start and finish on the west side of Walnut Hill Park under the finish truss. Markings & Amenities: 

  • All turns are marked on the road and with signs
  • Portalets: Pre/Post
  • Medical Personnel

Note: No timing or awards for the 4K or 1 Mile Walk.

Respect the roads and each other, and please do not litter in the gracious community hosting us.

10:00 AM: 5K Awards ceremony

Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. All times are based on NET time (timing mats located at the start and finish). Final results will be posted later in the day. Note: No timing or awards for the 4K or 1 Mile Walk. RESULTS
Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. All kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal. Youth White Baseball Hat (limited to the first 90 kid registrants).

All Kids Fun Runs participants will start and finish on the west side of Walnut Hill Park under the finish truss. Children should line up accordingly for the 1 Mile or in the distance most appropriate to their age.
