Mystic Half Marathon & 10K
Volunteer before you run and earn credits for races or merchandise! Parking and registration volunteers needed before the race. Bring friends to earn credits while you run or share with a group (donations available for groups). Sign up HERE or contact nancy@hartfordmarathon.com with questions.

You can pick up your race bib at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday (Race Day). To speed up your pickup, download or print your own unique Check-in Pass before you get in line. Sign into your participant account to access your pass. The pass can be downloaded and saved in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or printed out. 

If you purchased Mail My Packet, your race bib and shirt were mailed to you. Only come to the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent if you did not receive your bib in the mail or have questions.
Your short sleeve technical shirt will be available for pick up at the T-Shirt tent before the event - you may only pick up the size selected/available in your race registration. Shirt sizes are limited and exchanges will be available after the event on a first come, first served basis.

Complimentary baggage check will be available for registered participants in the Pre/Post Race area. All checked bags must be picked up by 10:15 AM.

Pre/post race activities, as well as race start will take place in and around Olde Mistick Village in Mystic – the finish line is located in the adjacent property, at the main entrance to the Mystic Aquarium.

Athlete parking is available at:
  • Olde Mistick Village (27 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic, CT 06355)
  • Maritime Drive (On Street)
*As designated parking areas fill, volunteers and staff will direct participants to other available options.

The race start will consist of one corral with “Self Seed” pace per mile signs to assist with participant spacing.

The Half Marathon and 10K will start in the same location on Coogan Boulevard, near the entrance to Olde Mistick Village. Both races will run together for roughly 5.9 miles.

Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel. Markings & Amenities: 

  • Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
  • All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
  • Clocks at finish line and along the course
  • Hydration (Water and Nuun Sport)    
    • Half Marathon: Pre/Post Race & every 1 to 2 miles along the course
    • 10K: Pre/Post Race & Mile 1.8, 4.2, & 5.7
  • Medical personnel on site
  • Event alert system notifications in the pre-race area and at the water station

Half Marathon Course Info & Map: Course limit is 3 hours for the Mystic Half. To finish within these time limits participants must maintain a pace of approximately 13:44 minutes per mile. Half Marathon runners must pass the checkpoint at the 5.9 mile mark within 1 hour and 20 minutes. Runners over this time will be directed to finish the 10K course. 

10K Course Info & Map: Course limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes for the Mystic 10K. To finish within these time limits you must maintain a pace of approximately 14:30 minutes per mile.

PACE TEAMS: A free service available to all half marathon participants, the Fleet Feet Pace Teams are available for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00 goal finish times. Pace leaders will assemble near the starting area on Queen’s Chapel Road at 6:45 AM and will be wearing bright blue PACE shirts and be holding their pace group sign. DETAILS

Celebrate your amazing accomplishments together with music, a delicious fresh, hot bRUNch served up fresh by Flanders Fish Market and Grab & Go snacks featuring Bakery On Main and Lesser Evil

8:00 AM: 10K Award Ceremony
9:15 AM: Half Marathon Award Ceremony

Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. All times are based on NET time (timing mats located at the start and finish). Final results will be posted later in the day. RESULTS
Please bring nonperishable food donations to the HMF Can tent to benefit Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center. HMF Can is supported by Stop & Shop to help alleviate food insecurity in communities. Donors are entered to win one entry to the L+M Hospital Summer Stride 5K or the Surftown 5K (claim prize during Awards).

The Rotary Club of Mystic proudly directs sponsorship efforts and a donation drive around the Mystic Half Marathon & 10K as its largest fundraiser for local scholarships. The Rotary Club is dedicated to making a positive impact on the greater Mystic area through an annual scholarship program, local grants and international efforts.
 
Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile or ½ mile races, all kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal and custom t-shirt. 

The HMF FitKids Runs with start and finish near the eastern edge of Olde Mistick Village, adjacent to the pre/post race area. The kids courses will take place entirely along the paved pathways inside of Olde Mistick Village.
You'll complete race one with your Mystic Half Marathon or 10K finish.
Enjoy some extra motivation through the season with three race finishes in this new walker-friendly challenge.

Sign up for any distance at the L+M Hospital Summer Stride 5K & 10K on Saturday, July 20 and any distance at the Surftown Half Marathon & 5K Presented by Westerly Hospital on Sunday, September 8 to earn this special medal.
