UConn Campus, Storrs, CT
8:30 AM: 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fitness Walk

10:15 AM: Kids Run


Registration is still open, bring a friend to run or walk!

Opening ceremony at 8:10 AM with local dignitaries, presentation of the colors by the ROTC Color Guard, the National Anthem sung by the UConn Conn-Men and a CT Army National Guard flyover.  

All courses will pass by the Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial on the Great Lawn where a Blackhawk helicopter will land during the race!
 
RACE BIB & SWAG PICKUP:
Speed up your race bib pickup experience! Download or print your own unique Check-in Pass before you get in line, log in to your haku participant account. The pass can be downloaded and saved in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or printed out.
Then visit the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent to get your race bib from 7:00 – 8:00 AM located at the UConn Student Recreation Center, Storrs, CT.

Registered participants can pick up their long sleeve technical shirt at the T-Shirt tent

Late registration will be available at Registration & Bib Pick-up. Payment by credit card or Apple Pay only, cash will not be accepted at registration.
PARKING / DIRECTIONS:
Pre/post race activities, as well as the start/finish areas will take place in and around the UConn Student Recreation Center and on Hillside Road at the University of Connecticut in Storrs.

PARKING:
  • Free parking located at the South Garage compliments of LAZ Parking.
  • Additional parking and parking for vehicles needing high clearance is located in the Y and Z lots.

DETAILS

RACE START:
8:30 AM - 5K Start: Hillside Road north of Glenbrook Road.

8:31 AM - 10K & Fitness Walk Start: Hillside Road south of Glenbrook Road.

The 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fitness Walk will consist of one corral with “Self Seed” pace per mile signs to assist with participant spacing. 

RACE COURSE & SUPPORT:
MARKINGS:
  • Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
  • All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
  • Clocks at finish line and along the course
AMENITIES:
  • Hydration: Water and Powerade
  •     Miles 2.5 & 5 (10K)
  •     Mile 1.9 (5K)
  •     Pre & Post race area
  • Bathrooms available inside UConn Student Recreation Center
  • Medical personnel
  • Course monitors will be on the course 
Please do not litter on the beautiful courses! 

KIDS RUN:
All Kids Runs are $12. The kids runs will start and finish below the Finish Arch on Hillside Road. Parents/escorts accompanying their children may run for free. Online registration available through race morning starting at 7:00 AM at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent.

Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile or ½ mile races. All kids receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. 

TIMING / RESULTS / AWARDS:
Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. All times are based on starting gun time. Preliminary results will be available onsite. Final results will be posted later in the day. RESULTS

POST RACE:
8:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Outside of the UConn Student Recreation Center.
Celebrate your amazing accomplishments together with music, hot chili (vegetarian chili available upon request), corn muffins, fresh fruit and LesserEvil popcorn. One complimentary ice-cold TwoConn Easy Ale per registered participant (21+ w/ID only) compliments of Two Roads Brewing.

Exciting activities for the entire family including: Inflatables, Bungee Run, Axe Throwing, and giveaways.

10:00 AM: Award Ceremony
Note: the Fitness Walk is untimed, and therefore no awards will be presented to those that participate.
 
THIS EVENT BENEFITS: 
Through UConn’s Office of Veterans Affairs and Military Programs, proceeds will provide scholarships for military and veteran students as well as benefit the Kyle Milliken Fund.
