Husky Run & Ruck
Race Day: 7:00 – 8:00 AM, UConn Student Recreation Center, Storrs, CT
Pick up your race bib at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent on race day. To speed up your pickup, download or print your own unique Check-in Pass before you get in line. Sign into your participant account to access your pass. The pass can be downloaded and saved in your phone images or Apple Wallet, or printed out. 
Your long sleeve technical shirt will be available for pick up at the T-Shirt tent before the event - you may only pick up the size selected/available in your race registration. Shirt sizes are limited and exchanges will be available after the event in the Results tent on a first come, first served basis.
Please note: No baggage check available on race day.

Pre/post race activities, as well as the start/finish areas will take place in and around the UConn Student Recreation Center and on Hillside Road at the University of Connecticut. Directions

  • Free parking located at the South Garage compliments of LAZ Parking.
  • Additional parking and parking for vehicles needing high clearance is located in the Y and Z lots.
10K and Fitness Walk: The 10K will start in the same location as the Fitness Walk on Hillside Road, south of the intersection with Glenbrook Road. Both will travel together for the first 0.8 miles. All walkers should line up in the back, behind the 10K runners.

5K: The 5K will start on Hillside Road, north of the intersection with Glenbrook Road. 

Police and course monitors will be on the course. However, the roads are open to local vehicle travel. Markings & Amenities: 

  • Yellow signs with blue arrows mark all turns
  • All mile points are marked on the road and with signs
  • Clocks at finish line and along the course
  • Hydration (Water and Powerade) - Pre & Post RaceMiles 2.5 & 5 (10K), Mile 1.9 (5K)
  • Medical personnel on site
  • Event alert system notifications in the pre-race area and at the water station

10K Course Info & MapCourse limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes for the 10K. To finish within these time limits you must maintain a pace of approximately 14:30 minutes per mile. 

5K Course Info & Map: Walkers welcome! Course limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes. To finish within these time limits 5K participants must maintain a pace of approximately 29:00 minutes per mile. 

Fitness Walk Course Info & Map: The Fitness Walk is untimed and there are no awards.

Respect the roads and each other, and please do not litter in the gracious community hosting us. 

8:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Outside of the UConn Student Recreation Center
Celebrate your amazing accomplishments together with music, fresh fruit and delicious food from Bear's Smokehouse. One complimentary ice-cold TwoConn Easy Ale per registered participant (21+ w/ID only) compliments of Two Roads Brewing.

Enjoy exciting activities for the entire family including: Inflatables, Bungee Run, Axe Throwing, and giveaways.

9:45 AM: Awards ceremony.

Preliminary results will be available onsite. This event is timed by Bay State Race Services and uses the B-Tag timing system with timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Please wear the race bib on the front of the shirt. Final results will be posted later in the day. RESULTS

Online kids' race registration is available through race morning, with on-site registration and bib pickup at the Registration & Bib Pick-up tent. Kids aged 2-11 can run ¼ mile or ½ mile races, all kids races are $12. All participants receive a finisher's medal and custom t-shirt. 

All kids’ runs will start and finish under the Finish Arch on Hillside Road, adjacent to Gampel Pavilion.
